AWS Inventory Settings


Product: AWS Inventory for Windows and AWS Inventory CMD for Windows, Linux & macOS.

Configure AWS Inventory General Settings


In this tab, we will configure several settings:

  AWS Multi-Region Scanning setting allows the application to scan all AWS Regions for AWS Services.
Enable this setting only if you have services in multiple regions because it increases scanning time.

  Skip Private AWS Regions Scanning will skip scanning for AWS resources inside AWS private regions.
Enable this setting only you are using AWS Services hosted on one of the following regions: Asia Pacific (Osaka-Local), China (Beijing), China (Ningxia) or AWS GovCloud (US).

  Load AWS Tags will enable to list of AWS Tags on resources.
Enable this setting if you are using Tags and you want to export them in the inventory. You will need to add your Tags on the AWS Tags tab.

  Configure the Date Format: select the Date Format for your inventories.
Type one of the following date formats: yyyy-MMM-dd, dd-MMM-yyyy or MMM-dd-yyyy.

Examples:
 yyyy-MMM-dd --> 2021-Feb-28
 dd-MMM-yyyy --> 28-Feb-2021
 MMM-dd-yyyy --> Feb-28-2021

  Dark Theme Mode allows choosing between the Dark Theme Mode (Yes) and Light Mode (No).

  Authentication Region define the default region for authentication and validation.
If your AWS account is restricted to an specific region, and you receive validation errors, please select your AWS default region.

Press the Save Settings button to save settings or the Reset to Default to revert to default settings.




Configure AWS Inventory Email Settings


In this tab, we will configure the email settings:

 Email Address
 STMP Server
 STMP Username
 STMP Password
 STMP Port
 STMP Enabled SSL (Yes/No)

Press the Save SMTP Settings button to save settings or the Send Test SMTP Email to test your email settings.




Configure AWS Inventory Email Recipients


In this tab, we will configure the email recipients. We use the email recipient list when we send inventories by email.
AWS Inventory will send the inventory to all email addresses listed on this list.

 To add an email address type the email and click on the Add button.
 To remove an email address, double-click on the email address.

Press the Save List of Email button to your list of email recipients.




Configure AWS Inventory Tags


In this tab, we will configure the list of AWS Tags to show on our inventories.

To remove an AWS Tag, select the item and click on the Remove button. Press the Save Settings button to save settings or the Reset to Default to revert to default settings.

NOTE: the free version is limited to 2 AWS Tags.
